Decrease of 4 GB Available Physical Memory Caused by Poor Contact Between Memory Modules and Slots in the T5220

Issue Description
The U2000 HA system is used in a project and the hardware configuration of the server is as
follws:
Sun T5220 Single, 4 core CPU, 1.2 GHz, 8 GB memory (4 x 2 GB), 4 X 146 GB hard disks, 1 x 1000M NIC (4 ports), 1 monitor card
The available physical memory of the active server is only 4 GB during installation. The message "MB/CMP0/MCU0 is not configured" is displayed during the system self-test.
Alarm Information
MB/CMP0/MCU0 is not configured.
Handling Process
1. Log in to the system in the serial port mode and run the showcomponent command. It is found that the MB/CMP0/MCU0 component is in the disabled state.
2. Run the following commands to change the status of the MB/CMP0/MCU0 component:
     SC>enablecomponent MB/CMP0/MCU0
     SC>clearasrdb
3. The available physical memory of the active server is correct after the first restart. After the second restart, however, the available physical memory of the active server is incorrect.
4. Disassemble the active server. It is found that the memory module and the slot are in poor contact. Remove the memory module and reinsert it back to the slot, and restart the system. Then, the available physical memory of the active server becomes normal.
Root Cause
Two memory modules are in poor contact with slots in the mother board.

Huawei FTTx Leased Line Solution

Copper Access for Business

EDTB board in Huawei OLT will be adopted, which can support 16 E1 ports and 16 G.SHDSL ports concurrently in one board;

100% inherit the legacy service, don’t need change customer premise equipment;

Application Scenarios:

EDTB is mainly applied for extending E1 coverage by transferring to G.SHDSL;

Both TDM G.SHDSL and E1 interface can support PBX access;

E1 for access and TDM PWE3 for uplink can also be applied;

Native TDM + TDM PWE3

Scenario description:
MA5612/MA5628 access enterprise with TDM E1 interface, and access to Huawei MA5600T with Native TDM mode;

MA5600T access to upper layer PSN network after encapsulating Native TDM to PWE3;

MA5600T or CX600 terminates the PWE3 back to Native TDM to other part of the enterprise.

Clock solution description:
OLT have two ways to get the clock source in this scenario:  Synch Eth  and BITS;

OLT deliver the clock signal to ONU through GPON line clock,  then ONU deliver clock to base station through synch eth or specified clock interface;

Advantage:
PW encapsulation is centralized in OLT, which simplify Huawei ONU function and reduce the total CAPEX;

High accuracy clock from BITS and synch eth can fully meet the base station requirement ;

Is it really not possible to add a protection leg to an existing MSP 1 to N?

Issue Description
It is not possible to add a protection leg to an existing MSP 1:N.
Alarm Information
There is not any "modify button".
Handling Process
As it is not possible to modify, if you need to add a protection leg you have to delete the MSP 1:1 and then to recreate again adding the new leg to the protection.
Root Cause
MSP 1:N has been create in this way. You only can create and delete it.
Suggestions
If a MSP 1:N exist and you want to add other board, you have to delete the MSP and then create it again (including new board) instead of be able to add the board directly (customer has to spend more time deleting and creating again than if he would able to add directly but this function works in this way).

This problems seems to happen in the case we had previously an ONT with the same ONT_ID in the same port.
If we create the Huawei ONT with a ONT_ID that was never used, the problem does not happen.
It seems that when we delete the ONT in the BMS, some information is not deleted in one of the tables.

Huawei MA5683T Platinum Line FAQ
Q: What is the difference between MA5683T and MA5603T?
A: MA5603T is multi service based while MA5683T is just OLT, MA5603T can support service like ADSL, VDSL, GPON etc, while MA5683T only supports GPON, P2P etc, but their hardware and configuration command is the same.

Q: What is the difference between MA5683T and MA5680T?
A: The only difference is capacity, MA5683T max support 6 service slots, MA5680T max support 16 service slots. So MA5683T with smaller chassis.

Q: What is the most hot selling Huawei OLT?
A: MA5683T is the best-selling OLT, next is MA5680T.

Q: Do you provide configuration manual to me if we purchase MA5683T from you?
A: Yes, you may contact our sales representative or out support team.

Q: Can I get technical support from thunder-link.com if we purchase MA5683T from you?
A: Yes, thunder-link.com has experienced technical team on Huawei FTTx solution, however, you may need to purchase technical support service from us as by default we only provide one year hardware warranty.

Q: Does MA5683T support AC power?
A: No, only support DC power, but you can purchase a telecom level AC to DC converter if you just have AC power source.

Q: Does the GPON SFP Module included in the bundle?
A: Yes, with GPBD board, 8 B+ SFP Module are included for free.

Q: Can I use MA5683T main control board SCUN as uplink so as to save the uplink board cost?
A: Yes, you can, but we don’t suggest, as Huawei OLT SCUN load balance is not well supported, so most customers are using SCUN in active/standby mode, if OLT lose power, which SCUN will work as the active SCUN will be randomly, which may affect service, also if the link is down, the active SCUN will not shift to the standby SCUN (it will only shift when SCUN board is down), then service may get affected also.

Q: Can I have 1000 Base-T as uplink?
A: Yes, instead of GICF uplink board you can purchase GICG uplink board, if use GICF, you can buy a electrical SFP module then you can have 1000 Base-T.

Q: What is the difference between different GPON board?
A:
BoardGPON TypePort QuantityOptical ModuleMaximum Split RatioONU based shaping
H802GPBD1G-GPON8SFP (Class B+ and Class C+)1:128No
H805GPBD/H806GPBD1G-GPON8SFP (Class B+ and Class C+)1:128Yes

H806GPBH1G-GPON8SFP (Class B+ and Class C+)1:128Yes
H802XGBC10G-GPON4SFP (Class B+ and Class C+)1:128Yes

Q: Does MA5683T support 10G GPON?
A: Yes, but the bottleneck is the uplink bandwidth.

Q: Can I use a 3rd party ONT with the MA5683T?
A: We don’t suggest so, as the understanding of TR069/OMCI protocol may different between different vendors.

Q: Can you offer MA5683T MIB to us?
A: You may check the details with our sales team.

Q: Can I buy 10G uplink board instead of GE?
A: Yes, then you may request our sales quote you X2CS board instead of GICF uplink board, each X2CS provide 2*10G ports.

Q: What is the difference between GPON B+ and C+ GPON transceiver?
A:
