#
please check attached Fig-1.
Alarm Information
None.
Handling Process
WE have check each of previous reason to find the root cause as below
1. NMS process has been already ended as the below commands does not display ( imap_sysmonitor -cmd start )
# ps -ef | grep imap
2. Sybase database has been already ended as the below commands display no result.
#su - sybase
$cd /opt/sybase/ASE*/install
$ ./showserver|grep DBSVR
3. Msuite process has been already ended as the below commands does not display ( /opt/HWNMSJRE/jre_sol/bin/java -server)
#ps -ef | grep java.
4. UEasy check have been made and it shows no item with [No Go].
we contact RND for support, the reply was to check that No such file or directory: '/opt/NMSApp/flag/nonCriticalProcessList'
when we check we find that '/opt/NMSApp' directory exists, but the flag directory is not exists under that directory as shown in Fig-2,3
The RND reply again to confirm if this is Single Server or HA system , we confirm that it is Single Server system.
Thus the RND find the solution and reply to delete that directory '/opt/NMSApp' . After we delete it, the problem solved and installation complete
as shown in Fig-4.

Root Cause
Cause -1- \ the NMS processes have not been ended.
Cause -2- \ the Sybase database is still running and should be ended.
Cause -3- \ the MSuite server process has not been ended.
Cause -4- \ May need to Run UEasy check and send the Output report to ask for support.
Suggestions
It was found that this server has been used for HA before, then it has been modified to be used as single server , this is explain why the folder /opt/NMSApp was exists.
Thus in any case you are going to install that patch on Single-Server system check that this folder is not exists.

NE datacollector in U2000 V1R1 does not working

Issue Description
we are U2000 Version : U2000V1R1C00CP311 to manage Huawei OSN3500 and OSN7500 , and we found that the NE Datacollector Does not working
The problem phenomenon as follow ( we have 2 problems ) :
1.  After select the NE Datacollector from the OSN function tree , we could not login the the OSN NE in the NE data collector as showed in the b/m print screen

2.  After select the NE datacollector from OSN Function tree, we couldn't find Huawei OSN NE in the Datacollector ( OSN NE not exist to select Login ) .
Alarm Information
Null
Handling Process
1.  check if this problem in one NE or all NEs over the U2000 .
2.  check the U2000 System monitor process (espcially : neproxy process ) .
3.  get these logs and sent it to GTAC :

    *  D:/U2000/server/tools/datacollector/dbfile/Datacollector.db
    *  D:/U2000/Client/Tools/neinfo.xml

4.  check the Set Login account and check the Operated and fixed Users .
5.  Check the Upper limit of creation from the datacollector logs if it reach to be 50 (the max ) let us use the temp solution till upgrade the U2000 version to be U2000 V1R2C01SPC100

Root Cause
For Problem # 1

This problem is due to when your user login, other user resave it, then make this user logout.
Pls check NE--->set login Account, and check whether there has the same user set in this table, if yes, pls change fixed user to other login user.  See following picture:

IF the problem still exist we need to restart the Process of neproxy process from U2000 System monitor
For Porblem # 2  : According to the Logs of the Datacollector we find that :

we find that : the creation NEs of Datacollector is  already reach the upper limit 50
so we need to upgrade current U2000 version to be U2000 V1R2C01SPC100 or use Temp solution as follow :

we can use the new (Datacollector.db) which supprot more 50 NE and replace the new (Datacollector.db) file in path
Suggestions
1.  check all the U2000 system monitor .
2.  check the Set Login account in the Datacollector .
3.  Use the Temp solution (use the new (Datacollector.db)) if you cannot upgrade the U2000 to be: U2000 V1R2C01SPC100
4.  U2000 V1R2C01SPC100 of Higher version solves this problem.

Alarm Clearing A_LOC on Huawei Optix OSN2500

The A_LOC on Huawei Optix OSN2500 is an alarm indicating the loss of clock in the upstream direction of the bus.

Parameters
When you view an alarm on the network management system, select the alarm. In the Alarm
Details field display the related parameters of the alarm. The alarm parameters are in the
following format: Alarm Parameters (hex): parameter1 parameter2...parameterN. For details
about each parameter, refer to the following table.

Impact on the System
When the A_LOC alarm occurs, the services carried by the board path are interrupted.

Possible Causes
The possible causes of the A_LOC alarm are as follows:
The PDH equipment interconnected to the service path is faulty.
The service type is incorrectly configured.
The service cross-connection is incorrectly configured.
The board hardware is faulty.
The cross-connect and timing board is faulty.

Procedure
Step 1 Check whether Huawei PDH equipment interconnected to the service path is faulty. If yes, take priority to remove the fault, and then check whether the A_LOC alarm is cleared.
Step 2 View the A_LOC alarm on the U2000, and then confirm the path number according to the alarm parameters.
Step 3 Check whether the service configuration of the path is correct. Make sure that the service type
at the local end is consistent with that at the remote end, and the cross-connection is correctly
configured. Then check whether the A_LOC alarm is cleared.
Step 4 If the alarm persists, check whether any hardware of the board that reports the A_LOC alarm is faulty on the U2000. If yes, perform a cold reset on the board. Then check whether the A_LOC
alarm is cleared.
Step 5 If the alarm persists, replace the board.
Step 6 If the alarm persists, perform a cold reset on the cross-connect and timing board. Then check
whether the A_LOC alarm is cleared.
Step 7 If the alarm persists, check whether the cross-connect and timing board is faulty. If yes, replace the cross-connect and timing board. Then the A_LOC alarm is automatically cleared.

How to synchronize U2000 server with more than one NTP server, and peers?

Issue Description
This case applies to situation when, when deploying U2000 server on SUN Solaris platform, in both single-server and High Availability configuration.
This solution was deployed with U2000 V100R002C01SPC100, but it will most certainly work with other versions.
Standard NTP configuration, with MSuite, allows us to configure just one time server. However client can request to have his server (servers) have more than one NTP sources configured, for redundancy purpose.
In this case we have to manually edit Solaris NTP configuration file.
Alarm Information
Null
Handling Process
In SUN Solaris OS NTP configuration file is in directory /etc/inet/ntp.conf. If it's not there, an example file exist in /etc/inet/ntp.server, which can be used as a template.
In the file we can put our lists of time servers in a format:

server X.X.X.X
server Y.Y.Y.Y
...

If we have more than one server with same STRATUM level, we can configure it as a proffered one, using keyword "prefer".

server X.X.X.X prefer

In case when we have U2000 in HA configuration, we can set master and stand-by servers as peers. This is helpful when all configured time servers will become unavailable. Both U2000 server can then configure right time between themselves. Example configuration:

peer Z.Z.Z.Z

Root Cause
Null
Suggestions

Important thing to remember is that from all time servers on the list system will choose the one with lowers (more reliable) STRATUM level. If we have few server on the same level, and no server with better value then we can use keyword "prefer" to force one servers to be used.
In configuration file we can also find server with ip address 127.127.1.0. This is LOCAL time, server's time. To make sure this time source is used as a last one, we should set its STRATUM value to less preferable. This can be done by using keyword "fudge".

server 127.127.1.0
fudge 127.127.1.0 stratum 10

Same method can by used to change STRATUM value of any real server but only to less preferable value. For instance, when server is broadcasting its time with STRATUM value of 3, we can change it locally to 4,5,6 etc, but never 0,1 or 2.

Summing up, an example file in situation when we have U2000 in HA configuration and two time servers with same STRATUM level in out network should look like this.

server 172.16.1.15 prefer
server 172.16.2.15
server 127.127.1.0
fudge 127.127.1.0 stratum 10

peer 172.16.10.10

In HA configuration each U2000 server needs to have his NTP configured separately, which means it has to have its own ntp.conf file with proper settings.

How to create personal topology view in U2000?

Issue Description

In T2000 customers had possibility to change topology position and coordinates of all NEs based on their needs. Each user could save personal topology view.
After U2000 installation (V100R003C00) it was impossible to save different topology for different user.
Alarm Information
null
Handling Process
To create custom view you need:
1. In U2000 main window chose View->create->view

2. Input custom view name, press "Topology" button and choose subnets or NEs you need (press right mouse button to choose needed NE or subnet)
3. Press finish when you finished to chose, then press OK.

4. After view is created you can chose different views by browsing "Current view" menu
5. You can change position on NEs, subnets and save view according to your requiremets. also you can modify or delete views
Root Cause
Really, in U2000 one database with NEs coordinates is used, so if one user change position of some NE and save topology, other users also see this change after they refresh page or relogin. Somethimes customers are upset because of these changes.
So we propose to use personal view for each user.
Each user can manage up to 5 custom views. User can modify only his own custom views.
Suggestions
Summary:
Personalization of topology view enhance operation and maintenance speed and convenience, however some features are not applicable for custom view and can be executed only from Physical Root (such as trail creation)
